Located in the mid-western part of Korea, Gyeonggi-do
embraces Seoul. It offers a variety of beautiful
tourist destinations and cultural facilities along
the Hangang River. Gyeonggi-do is also proud to
embody traditional Korean culture with such places
as the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, the Korean Folk
Village and Icheon, which is famous for ceramics.

huge and exciting amusement park.

[Icheon]
Icheon Ceramics Village makes traditional Korean
ceramics, and represents Korea in the quality
ceramics it produces. Presently about 80 pottery
factories are congregated at the village, and
about 300 pottery kilns are in use. Visitors can
have tours on the pottery production process,
and buy pottery directly. And Icheon is also famous
for its hot springs, discovered in1870. The water's
high sodium concentration is beneficial for soothing
problem skin, arthritis and gynecological diseases.

[Gwangju]
The white porcelain pottery kilns in Kwangju-gun,
Namjong-myon's Punwon-ri and Kumsa-ri are would
renown as the origin of the Choson white porcelain.
The entire region of Kwangju-gun was used primarily
for state-run porcelain factories since the early
Choson period. Firewood was abundant, the white
clay was of excellent quality, and the Han River
facilitated transportation of the finished goods

[Yeoju]
Sejongtaewangnung is the tomb of King Sejong (1397-1450)
and his wife Queen Sohyon of the Choson Era (1392-1910).
King Wejong not only created Hangul, the Korean
alpabet, but also contributed greatly in the fields
of politics, economics, culture, defense and education,
Inventions in the field of astronomy, culture,
defense and education.
