¡°Vessels that embodies the Spirit
and Heart¡±
This
main exhibition displays National Asset level
collections including three pieces of national
treasure. This exhibition hall is designed to
show the history and features of White Porcelain
and Buncheong during the Joseon Dynasty (AD 1,392~1910)
in systematic manner in order to show the trend
of 500 Years of Joseon Ceramics at once. In this
exhibition, visitors can witness the process of
changes from inlaid ceramics to Buncheong during
the Goryeo Dynasty (AD 918~1,392) and history
of Buncheong and White Porcelain from its early
stage. In this exhibition hall, visitors will
learn the power, life, dream and proud of the
then Ceramic Artists during the Joseon Dynasty.
This distinguished exhibition will tell you the
history of 500 years of Joseon Ceramics such as
white porcelain without any design, Blue and White
Porcelain bottle with cloud and dragon design
and so on.

¡°White Porcelain, Buncheong and Earthen
Ware¡±
This special exhibition was organized to follow
up Traditional Korean Ceramics and study its aesthetic
beauty. It shows the selected contemporary artworks
in our daily life and highlights the peculiar
characteristics of Korean Ceramics that had been
obtained attention in the late 20th Century. 21
of Traditional Ceramic Artists have devoted to
this exhibition in order to increase the quality
of culture in daily life by opening up the spirits
of Korean Ceramics. Visitors can see modernized
White Porcelain, Buncheong and Onggi. This exhibition
shows the beauty and the dignity of Korean Contemporary
Traditional Ceramics such as vessels, showing
the graceful figure of White Porcelain, Buncheong,
expressing vigorous spirits with diverse techniques,
Grand size of Figurative Onggi, emphasizing the
beauty of traditional Onggi and so on. It will
be a good chance to observe the marked individuality
of each ceramic artist.
